Tara is a Goddess of compassion. She has many different forms and is considered the mother of all Buddhas. The White Tara is the embodiment of all motherly compassion and her white color represents purity. She can be identified by the many eyes painted on her hands and forehead representing her ability to see all truths as well as her sitting in a lotus position, showing her calm disposition.
